Dustin is a master mechanic, expert sewer – he’s created many of our bags in addition to Katy’s custom cover, and is always ready to jump right into a new adventure. He has an amazing ability to figure out a way to accomplish a task with the resources at hand. At camp he is Katy wrangler, tent-setter-uper and food chopper for meal prep.
Patricia is tech support, route planner, spreadsheeter extraordinaire & grocery shopper. She is willing to try a new adventure after the idea has had time to simmer for days/months/years. At camp Patricia is the organizer, cook, electronics charger & Katy snuggler.
Katy is a Jack Russell “Terrorizer” who keeps us laughing and works hard as alarm system, marriage counselor, scrap eater (but quite picky), and snuggle bunny. For cycle touring Katy gets pedaled along by Dustin but he’s happy to let her run alongside when climbing uphill in low traffic situations. Katy rode the first 80 days of the journey with us from Fairbanks, Alaska to Seattle, Washington – for the rest of the trip she is living her best life with family in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
